Paukstadt, U. & Paukstadt, L. H. (1992): Entomologische Eindrücke von den Kleinen Sundainseln, Indonesien. - Entomologische Zeitschrift (Essen), 102 (1/2): pp. 1-20; 7 figs.

Summary: The authors describe an entomological journey carried out by them and their two children in the Indonesian Archipelago in the "Visit Indonesia Year 1991". They started in the capital Jakarta in western Java, visited the islands Java, Bali, Lombok, Terawangan, Sumbawa, touched the Komodo Islands and completed on Flores in the Eastern Lesser Sunda Islands. The island of Flores was particularly visited to search for Attacus inopinatus Jurriaanse & Lindemans, 1920 (Lepidoptera: Saturniidae). Only public busses and small ferry-boats were taken and accommodation and lodging was found in losmen and homestays during the nearly four weeks tour. Many observations on flora and fauna, on geography, on the climatic and weather conditions and some new on entomology were made in this mostly unexplored region and are described in detail. This report is continued after following entomological journeys, which are prepared for going to eastern Flores and Timor to continue our studies on Saturniidae of the Archipelago.
